Since having a child – like everyone else – I have taken a large amount of photos. But just having them on in your photos app is no good. Why take them not to enjoy them. Like life, enjoy things along the way, don't wait until you are 70 to enjoy something.
Set a photo widget
Apple's photos app has made some great improvements over the last few years. Set a widget, size of your choosing, on your home screen. Set it to featured photos. This will bring in great photos, video clips that its generate and 'on this day' memories. It's honestly one of the my favourite features. With iOS 16 you can do the same thing but for your background. I tried it out, but I don't recommend this. Too confusing when there are similar phones around "is this my phone?", you probably know from looking at the picture if it features someone, but unlikely if it's a landscape.
Actually print photos
I have a reminder set for every three months to print photos out at the photo store near me. It is ridiculously cheap. 5"x7" inch photos are like $0.30 there. That size roughly fits iPhones portrait photos. I have a pinboard above my monitors and pin them there.
